Hi there, my name is Josh Macrow, a freelance puppeteer and puppet builder for theatre and film.

 

In 2017, I established my own company, JJ Puppets. Under this mantle I create shows and workshops for events, schools, communities, theatres, and have been working professionally ever since. In 2020, I graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech with a BA Hons Degree in Puppetry: Design and Performance, which helped me finesse my skills and work alongside industry professionals.

My favourite styles of puppetry are lip-sync, rod and tabletop, but it is always a joy to utilise any form of puppetry from its vast catalogue. I have experience with many different aspects of production, as my work covers producing as a filmmaker and Theatre Practitioner . Alongside performing, I also design, and fabricate many of my own puppets, props, and sets!
